The Cubic Meter Formula
A cubic meter (m³) is a cube that measures 1 meter on every side. It equals 1,000 liters, 35.315 cubic feet, or 1.308 cubic yards. Every volume calculation in the metric system comes back to cubic meters.

CBM in Shipping
CBM stands for Cubic Meter. Freight companies use CBM to price container shipments. The calculation is identical to the standard cubic meter formula, but you apply it per package and then sum the totals.
